The Importance of a Positive Attitude...

Oh shucks. Here it comes again.

Some days it's just hard to put on a happy face.

Let's talk over our options...

.

Hey, I've got an idea! Let's catch snowflakes on our tongues!

.

Got one!

See? Winter isn't so bad! And if you click on my picture, you can see the wizard in my eye...

This post is inspired by Carmon at Star's Rest. Go visit her and bring her rain.

Wonderful shots of the horses!! I so miss having them around. On our old rural road east of Albany, we had a few on either end; and a large, beautiful old place nearby that boarded them. One lovely lady within walking distance, and with whom Cara became friendly, was a brood mare who had her own ewe as a companion. She and Cara would often seem to be communing in some private way ... at least until one of the free-roaming chickens popped out of the barn to distract her.

Wonderful photos! Two years ago, after the horses had shed most of their winter hair, we had a 3+ foot snowfall. That was a shock to the system! With our much more southern location, it was gone in less than a week though. I wish Heidi and Dream a warm spring on the horizon and best wishes to them from 'the band of boys'! Carmon

Now see? This is why I love to come here. I can pilfer the best computer wallpaper. How completely adorable!

My golden retriever does this too only she hops when she's catching them.

I don't know about elsewhere, but growing up in Buffalo, NY the trusim is:

ST. Patrick's Day = Sucky Weather!

That looks like such a nice travel brouchure kinda snow fall. Take heart - Spring starts tomorrow!

What can you say about pictures of horses in the country in the winter?

They are pretty much critic-proof.

Does one with horses, enough fire wood, warm cloths and maybe a pot of home made vegetable soup on the stove; ever really tire of winters’ wonders?? Beautiful pictures, you are truly blessed.

This past years activities have caused me to catch myself from complaining about a days (or weeks) weather and to look for the miracles that are always there.

By the time I got to the end I was about to copy the link to send to Carmon then I saw it was inspired by her.

I've come to know more about horses by reading her blog than I've ever known. Heck, via the net I've come to know more about the true nature of people than I could have ever dreamed of knowing.
