Knock-Knock...

When my daughter was about four years old, she discovered “Knock-Knock” jokes. We spent the time during one evening meal making them up:

“Knock-knock.”
“Who’s there?”
“Turkey...”
“Turkey who?”
“Turkey meatball!!!”

We laughed ‘till we cried! We were hilarious!! She’s in her thirties now, and we’re still laughing about that one, even though – unlike in 1972 – turkey meatballs can be found in the grocery store.

About nine years later, our four-year-old son discovered jokes and made up one of his own:

Question: “Why did the chicken cross the road?”
Answer: “To get runned over!!!”

Again, we laughed ourselves silly, but we corrected him: Why did the chicken cross the road? To get a turkey meatball!!!

Now THAT’S funny!!!
