The sly little gopher knows your thoughts... Is it animal instinct? Intuition? Magic? Are your thoughts that simple??? His laughter can be heard all the way back to the forest...

Hopefully not all your forest animals decide to run off and start day jobs!

BD - This rascal was a trouble-maker in the forest. I don't think any others will follow suit!

Baron - Ha Ha Ha! You must suffer in frustration (as we did) for awhile before all is revealed! He's one annoyingly smart little gopher!

Ok..... HOW does that one work. I've seen similar but this doesn't appear to work like the other one that I remember. LOL Otherwise I'll just keep thinking this is trippy!

Okay, I had a word with the Magic Gopher, and here's what he confided in me:

Play the game and notice that the pictures associated with all multiples of 9 (9,18,27,..) are all the same. Your picture will always be of a multiple of nine.

For example, if you choose 43, you add 4 + 3 = 7 and then subtract 7 from the original number: 43 - 7 = 36 (which is a multiple of 9...). If you choose 97, you add 9 + 7 = 16 and then subtract 16 from the original number: 97 - 16 = 81... etc.

You see the final number is always a multiple of 9. The Magic Gopher knows your "picture" since all pictures of the multiple of nines are the same.

I guess this is why some people get excited about mathematics. Okay, now you can sleep.

I am so glad you explained this to me. I thought mom slipped something in my coffee this morning.
